Great Stuff right off the "essentials list"!  Emergency road warning triangles, water splitter, pressure gauge AND filter!  Tiny House DVD, Drill Bit for scissor leveling jacks, even a Stick-on Propane Tank pressure gauge (didn't make the photo).

Retired as of end of December, time to hit the road!  Santa you are awesome!

Cape Cod - Off-Season!

Nickerson State Park, Brewster MA - Sept. 27, 2014

Arrived to find we had a site right next to another R-Pod, and we saw a 3rd in our Loop on the way in!  That's a first.

R-Pod City!

Nice Open site for us.  After overcast and rain on Day 1 we had plenty of sun and the Solar Panel kept our battery bank charged just great.  Even found 26 stations on the TV Antenna!

Exploring the Cape is great fun here in the off-season (tail end of September).  We travelled out to Provincetown.  Fried Oyster platter in Wellfleet along the way. Excellent hike at Great Island Trail in Wellfleet out to the Old Tavern site.

Off to the Cranberry Festival today!

Camping and Fishing on the Gaspe - July, 2014

Traveled from Owl's Head, Maine to Carleton-sur-Mer, Quebec in a long 10 hour day, to park at the Municipal campground:

Enjoyed swimming in the shallow and warm Baie de Chaleurs, which virtually surrounds this 300 space campground located on a spit of sand that makes up part of the Barachois for Carleton.  Frequented by Surf sailers this is a really unique spot.

Tom and I fished the Grand Cascapedia river for 3 days and had good luck on two of those:

After the trip, another long ride back, the Route 17 across New Brunswick had some real bad stretches of bumpy, potholed road.

Maritime Trip - Maine & Quebec, July, 2014

July 19 - Underway!  - Traveled from Greenfield to Owl's Head Maine, about 250 miles across New Hampshire and Southern Maine.  Loose electrical connection from car to R-Pod, need a more secure "lock" on the connector.

Set up for a couple of nights at Junie's Owl's Head Cottage, out back by the boat house:

Used a couple of lengths to try and plug-in for the night (150' +).

At the outset had an electrical "low voltage" indicator on the Refrigerator.  Thought it might be the cord distance from the house, but Connie checked the connections (always a best-practice first step in trouble shooting!, Go Connie!) and solved the problem:

Nickerson State Park - Orleans, MA

June 8, 2014 - What a gorgeous weekend!  Traveled across MA in the "slow lane" riding blue highways across the State.  The rig works great at 45-55 MPH, got about 14 MPG on the trip overall.  Saw Seals at Nauset Beach, Cape Cod National Seashore.  Dry camping in the 400 site Nickerson State Park, featuring many "kettle ponds"  Cliff Pond, Little Cliff, Flax Pond.  Did some StandUp Paddleboarding on Big Cliff not too many fish but spotted a few big ones.  Here's the campsite,  Solar panel did a great job keeping the batteries charged despite the wooded location!
